James comes home for the holidays with the intention of repairing the strained relationship with his daughter. Despite his attempt to mend things with a gift, his efforts are rejected, leading James to reluctantly toss the present in the trash. What follows is a series of mishaps, missteps, and misanthropic musings, tracing the discarded gift's journey as it returns to its rightful owner.
