Stain on a White Gown (1981)

Mrs. Ismail is depressed and blind. Her oldest child dies and the romance of her daughter, Dewi, is opposed by the parents of her boyfriend, Lukman. This happens because Hendry, a Lukman family employee, wants Lukman to marry Rina. Dewi is determined to pay for the education of her younger brother, Johan. Johan later marries Ratih, Hendry’s abandoned daughter. At Ratih’s request, Dewi and her mother live in Johan’s house.
