The Factor 55 00380 is a Rope Guard designed specifically for use with the FlatLink line of winch‑recovery gear. It is made from billet 6000‑series aluminum that’s clear-anodized for corrosion resistance, giving it a strong yet lightweight construction. The main purpose of the Rope Guard is to protect synthetic winch rope from damage — especially from UV exposure, abrasion, and impact (for instance, from rocks or rough terrain during off-roading). When installed, the guard positions all exposed synthetic rope surfaces behind itself and the fairlead, which reduces wear and risk of snagging or fraying.
